About this Seva
Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrates the divine appearance of Lord Shri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who appeared in Mathura over 5,000 years ago to protect His devotees, establish dharma, and reveal the path of pure devotion. On this most auspicious day, devotees immerse themselves in remembering Krishna through Harinam Sankirtan, bhajans, hearing His divine pastimes, special darshan, abhishek, arati, and devotional offerings. As midnight approaches — the sacred time of Lord Krishna’s appearance — the celebration reaches its joyful peak with Maha Abhishek, Maha Arati, ecstatic kirtan, and the offering of special bhoga to Lord Krishna. Come together, chant the holy names, and fill your heart with Krishna consciousness. Hare Krishna!
